Collaborative learning strategies used in classroom
Collaborative learning is a learning style that encourages and promotes team work and social interaction. When students work together in collaborative groups, they can ask each other questions, share ideas and give feedback. This method helps students learn how to work effectively and efficiently as a team.
I divided the total class in groups of slow learner and fast learner. Groups were created by including 5 slow learner students and 2 fast learner students. Each group were given assignment task and allowed to discuss among themselves. In addition it was instructed to complete the task within stipulated given time. This technique help students to improve there Thinking, Writing, pairing and sharing ability. Finally groups of students performed well were appreciated and allowed to share their learning with the larger group and the whole class. This process motivates and encourages other students to do well and perform better in the future.
Innovative method I used in my class room by implementing collaborative learning
I started the Unit I by introducing assignment. Considering the same to be completed before the class.
· Used formative assessment evaluation test to rectify misconception among students
· Used ICT tools like PPT, Internet and animation video for better understanding.
· Used web based learning like YouTube classes, NPTEL video and other MOOC classes.
· Evaluate task of each assigned group and graded their performance.
· Delivered lecture targeting slow learner
· Used model for better understanding.
· Used educational software (Pharm X software)
