I am faculty of Business Administration department. I teach course named Business statistics & analytics. I have implemented collaborative learning as an experiment to enhance learning skill of the students.
Collaborative Learning
Contribution of Collaborative learning in improvement of student learning:
Statement of Clears Goal:
Specific: My goal is to develop skills in to students as mentioned in course outcome using collaborative learning.
Measurable: Attainment levels of student performance in internal assessment I and Il and in university examination is measured which indicates the skill acquired by the students.
Achievable: By appropriate teaching learning process stated goals i.e. course outcomes are to be achieved.
Relevant: I will plan my teaching and learning strategy keeping in view developing the skills as in course outcome into students.
Time Bound: The set goals are to be achieved during the semester period.
Collaborative Learning Strategy I used in Class Room:
There are so many best practice strategies to consider when using the collaborative learning approach in the classroom. I have used quads (group of 6 to 8 students). The quads are divided to mixed skill groups. This can help students who struggle to have higher-level students mixed with lower-level students so that peer learning and coaching is incorporated.
Innovative Method I used in my class room implementing Collaborative learning:
I started a course unit by introducing task on assignment. Considering the assigning task to be compiled in four periods.
